Prism: Lant of the Rainbow

FOR ALL THE LOVERS OF RAINBOWS ♥

Turned Jesse/Johan and Rainbow Dragon from 'Yu-Gi-Oh!: GX' into a Lant (one of my own critters). He named himself "Prism" and he's rather fabulous O3O;;

He will be used in a side story to my Twin Goddess Chronicles. HAOU AND JUDAI GOT GIJINKAS/CHARACTERS TOO. They are so fab.

I have discovered I enjoy adapting random stuff into Lant.

Description:

Named after being the first of his kind, “Prism” is the first and only existing Prism Lant, which is otherwise a normal Lant with the exception that they have the ability to use every element. Where all other Lant have one or two elements they depend upon for magic and protection, Prism can harness anything in the elemental spectrum, an ability harnessed from his unique “Lamp”, which is in fact not a typical Lant Lamp at all but is a solid crystal that contains the first Lanix (Lant Phoenix, the Sacred that lives in a Lamp and gives a Lant their elemental and emotional qualities). The first Lanix died and was recycled into the Sacred system. The result was something entirely unique.

Never can more than one Prism Lant exist at any given time, for the only Lanix with the ability to carry all elements is the first of their kind. Because of this, Prism was not deemed an Origin (the first of a breed or species) but that didn’t mean he didn’t become an immediate fixation of The Patron Goddess, the creator and designer of the Seven Sacreds to which Lant belong.

Patron wished to know where the crystal Lamp had come from and immediately set Shackle, her favorite magician and scientist, to research the rainbowy creature. Shackle determined that the gigantic crystal Prism carried as his Lamp had been formed when the Lanix entered the original Lamp and had transformed it. The Lanix was so powerful that its presence wore away the wood and brass of the Lamp, crushing the crystalline glass casing completely inwards and creating a solid crystalline shape. This power was enough to make him break away from Posts, giving Prism more freedom than other Lant. Shackle further deferred that the colorful gem would become a solid sphere if Prism were permitted to grow and age and gather information over time, and that he was possible to most perfect Lant in existence.

Because of his enhanced skills, Prism proved worthy of such a title. He was able to Balance large cities with no help from other Lant or Oracles, and he quickly fulfilled the prophecy of “The Lant that nurses a sphere” that The Oracle had made only a few years prior, beginning the violent spiral towards Dark Oracle’s demise.

Having the Origin Lanix, a solid crystal for a Lamp, and no Lantpost wasn’t all that made Prism unique: he questioned authority. He was not the first, nor would he be the last, Lant to do this, but Patron’s patience for unruly children was low. She could not risk her most powerful subordinate might become Turned, and threatened to dismember the Lant’s Shards and prevent his Recycling process should he stumble from the path.
